About: Nymphaea nouchali, often known by its synonym Nymphaea stellata, or by common names Blue Lotus, Blue Water Lily, Blue Star Water Lily or Manel flower is a water lily of genus Nymphaea. Blue Lotus is native to southern and eastern parts of Asia. It is the national flower of Sri Lanka. Historically, Blue Lotus or Water Lily has been used medicinally, with most advocates claiming it can improve sleep, reduce anxiety, assist with erectile dysfunction, and act as a natural aphrodisiac.
Usage: Dried Blue Lotus can be used in a variety of applications. Dried Blue Lotus add decor and fragrance to cakes and other desserts, and make wonderful herbal teas (Blue Lotus flower tea) and chai. Dried Blue Lotus flowers and Blue Lotus powder can also be used in potpourris, baths, personal care products and aromatic mixtures.
